Ford Fusion User Manual

5 Spd Manual Transmission Ford Fusion?

My 2006 Fusion recently stopped working correctly. Now they say that my vehicle which needs a new clutch and will be $1200-1500. Is it me, or should a 4 year old car with less than 50,000 miles not need something of this magnitude replace?… I know how to drive it a manual transmission correctly, so “user abuse” is not one of the contributing factors.
I had surgery on my left leg shortly after purchasing this car. Still is uncomfortable to shift. So yes, I am POSITIVE that I do not ride the clutch.
Just heard back from the repair shop. Apparently a finger on the Fly-wheel broke. Which in their words means the clutch still needs to be replaced.

If you truly know you are not riding your clutch or beating on it, there may be a family member
or friend that has been doing ” Ferris Bueller ” rides with the car that you are unaware of.

Something just isn’t right here. It shouldn’t need a clutch yet.
